HON. UJU KINGSLEY CHIMA (OMEUDO)’S 20 MILLION EGBEMA FESTIVAL SCOUTING FOOTBALL COMPETITION LIGHTS UP MMAHU (EZEMMA) TOWN.
Mmahu (Ezemma) town was electrified as it turned into a carnival ground during the grand finale of Hon. Uju Kingsley Chima (Omeudo)’s ₦20 Million Egbema Festival Scouting Football Competition.
Notable figures such as Hon. Tony Ohamara, Hon. Andrew Azunnia Nwokotubo (Vocor), Hon. Okoro Heculus, Hon Buchi Irona Pajah group, and others graced the occasion, which recorded an unprecedented turnout from across Egbema.
The event was in two phases,the grand finale football match and a reception in honour of Hon. Uju Kingsley Chima MFR, the erstwhile member representing Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta, and Oru West Federal Constituency. Both phases blended sports, culture, and tradition, leaving an unforgettable mark on the community.
The finals between Umu Okamma Community and Umu Obuorji Community ended in a tense penalty shootout, with Umu Okamma lifting the prestigious trophy 🏆.
Hon. Okoro Heculus, who stood as chief host, praised both teams for their spirited display and lauded his leader, Hon. Uju Kingsley Chima MFR (Omeudo), for always remembering Mmahu town. He emphasized that scheduling the match in the morning was deliberate to show how much the people value and love Omeudo, choosing to suspend their activities just to honour him.
Also speaking, Hon. Andrew Azunnia Nwokotubo (Vocor), former MD of ISOPADEC, hailed Mmahu’s massive turnout in solidarity with Omeudo. He described Omeudo as a man who never abandons his people, who carries everyone along, and who understands the true meaning of “home.” Vocor had the honour of presenting the trophy to the winners.
The former Vice Chairman of Ohaji/Egbema LGA, Hon. Tony Ohamara, described his loyalty to Omeudo as unwavering, noting that through Omeudo’s vision, the Egbema Festival now ranks among the top 5 most recognised festivals in the South East.
In the same spirit,Hon Buchi Irona Director Pajah group and CEO of Princess Hotels sent special greetings to Omeudo, pledging continuous support and describing him as family.
Youth presidents from across Egbema and notable elders of Mmahu town added their voices, declaring that what they witnessed was extraordinary,a testament to Omeudo’s uncommon impact on lives.
Indeed, the festival was colourful, cultural, and unifying. It reflected solidarity, love, and the deep respect the people of Egbema have for Hon. Uju Kingsley Chima MFR, Omeudo 1 of Niger Delta.
