According to a report by The Times Of Israel on , September 13, 2025, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed that military operations against Yemen’s Houthi rebels will continue following a new wave of airstrikes targeting the group’s facilities.
Speaking during a cornerstone-laying ceremony for a new seaside promenade in Bat Yam, which has been named after former US President Donald Trump, Netanyahu highlighted the latest developments in Israel’s ongoing campaign against the Houthis.
“A few days ago, we eliminated most members of the Houthis’ terror government,” the prime minister declared. He linked the strikes to recent rocket fire by the Houthis. “In response, the Houthis fired two days ago at Ramon Airport.”
The prime minister insisted that such attacks would not deter Israel. “This did not weaken our resolve,” he said, adding that Israel had carried out another round of air operations. “Today, we struck them again from the air, hitting their terror facilities, terror bases with many terrorists, and additional sites as well.”
Reiterating his government’s uncompromising stance, Netanyahu pledged to keep up the offensive. “We will continue to strike. Whoever strikes us, whoever attacks us — we will reach them,” he warned.
The remarks come amid heightened tensions across the region as the Houthis, who are backed by Iran, have repeatedly launched drones and missiles at Israeli territory in recent months. Israeli officials maintain that the group poses a growing threat to national security and to regional stability.
The recent strikes reportedly targeted key Houthi military infrastructure, though details on the extent of the damage or casualties remain unclear. The Houthis, meanwhile, have accused Israel of aggression while vowing to continue their own operations.
