Newcastle United are reportedly in advanced discussions to sign Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, with the Magpies identifying him as a prime target to bolster their attacking options. The 24-year-old Senegal international has expressed a desire to leave Stamford Bridge, especially after falling down the pecking order following Chelsea’s acquisitions of Liam Delap and João Pedro this summer.

Chelsea initially valued Jackson at around £80 million, but recent reports suggest they might be willing to negotiate, with Newcastle valuing him closer to £65 million.

The striker’s contract with Chelsea runs until 2033, having signed a nine-year deal upon his arrival from Villarreal in 2023.

Newcastle’s pursuit of Jackson comes after missing out on Benjamin Šeško, who opted to join Manchester United. With Alexander Isak’s future at St. James’ Park uncertain amid interest from other clubs, Newcastle are keen to secure a reliable forward. Jackson’s Premier League experience and potential make him an attractive option for the Magpies.

Negotiations are ongoing, and both clubs are working towards reaching an agreement that satisfies all parties involved.
