5 Students Die in Ghastly Rumuokoro Crash on Their Way to School

They left home to chase knowledge… they never made it. 💔
This tragedy has left families broken and a whole campus in mourning.

In a heartbreaking accident at Rumuokoro junction, five students of the University of Port Harcourt lost their lives while heading to school. The crash, which eyewitnesses described as “too horrible to watch,” involved a private vehicle and a commercial bus. Reports say the impact was so bad, some died on the spot. 😢

Online, Nigerians are crying out: “This could be anybody’s child!” While students light candles on campus in their honor, others are demanding better road safety, speed regulation, and responsible driving. A few are even questioning the safety measures around that Rumuokoro axis.
