FROM MOCKERY TO MIRACLE – Pastor Isaac Olutimehin

TEXT:
1 Samuel 2:8 KJV.
“He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD’S, and he hath set the world upon them.”

*MESSAGE:*
☆☆☆ There is a God in heaven who can change the story of his children within seconds.
☆☆☆ Beloved, it doesn’t matter the length of your travails and struggles, when God steps into your case, you will forget the hardship of several years.
☆☆☆ Always remember that it doesn’t matter how long the night may tarry, a new day will surely break forth.
☆☆☆ The joy of it all is that God doesn’t need the permission of anybody before promoting you.
☆☆☆ Just focus on God and put your total trust in him, he will never disappoint you.
☆☆☆ Let us now look at certain ways through which God can turn your mockery to a miracle👇

1. God can take you from prison to the palace.

☆☆☆ It doesn’t matter how hopeless your case may seem to be, God specializes in giving hope to hopeless situations.
☆☆☆ Where you are, thinking that God has forgotten you; may become your pathway to breakthrough.
☆☆☆ Joseph slept one night as a prisoner but woke up the following morning and found himself in the palace as the second in command to the king.
☆☆☆ Your case is not hopeless before God beloved. Your story will surely change for good.

2. God can connect you with his assigned destiny helper.

☆☆☆ The problem of man is putting his hope on a fellow human being.
☆☆☆ Though God will not come down from heaven to help any man, no man knows who God will send. Beloved, stop looking for who God will send, focus on God.
☆☆☆ The bible warns👇

“Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD” – Jeremiah 17:5.

☆☆☆ We are all encouraged to keep looking up to Jesus and our change for good will surely come. Hebrews 12:2.
☆☆☆Remember the story of Olajumoke Orisaguna, that bread seller, who went out one day hawking bread but favour smiled upon her. Somebody was just taking photoshoot and snapped her picture, posted it on social media, before she knew it; she had become a celebrity. You can goggle her story if you missed it when it was published.
☆☆☆ Beloved, remove your focus from man, wait on God and put your total trust in him, you will surely testify.

3. Your simple harmless smiles can be your link.

☆☆☆ Beloved, there are some people out there, who find it so difficult to laugh.
☆☆☆ It doesn’t matter what you do or say or how hard you try to make them laugh; they won’t even smile.
☆☆☆ Even the bible encourages us to be cheerful by telling us its benefits👇

“A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones” – Proverbs 17:22.

☆☆☆ I read the story of a little girl who went out to buy a loaf of bread. She was holding a loaf of Albany bread and smiling with fullness of joy. Her smiles, while holding that bread; even without putting on any slippers; caught the attention of somebody who snapped her picture and posted it on social media. The owners of Albany bakery saw the picture and loved the way the little girl was smiling, with their brand on her hands. That was how the little girl became an ambassador of Albany bread. The company decided to train her to any level she could go. They built a beautiful mansion for her parents and the story of that family changed for good.
☆☆☆ Beloved, the innocent smiles of that little girl had nothing to do with the brand of bread she was holding. We all know that little children love bread. However, the owners of Albany bakery believed that the little girl preferred and loved their brand.
☆☆☆ Beloved, a little smiles could be all that you need for your mockery to turn to a miracle.

4. A simple mistake can lead to your miracle.

☆☆☆ Our God is a God of wonders. Beloved, what you consider as a problem or a mistake, can be a divine set up by God to connect you with your miracle.
☆☆☆ I heard the testimony of a young man who was traveling to attend an interview in another state. He boarded a bus but was mistakenly given a wrong bag when he alighted from the bus. He was so disturbed because all his documents were inside his bag given to another passenger who had dropped earlier from the bus. Somehow, he checked through the bag if he could find any link to connect him with the owner of the bag. Fortunately he found a diary that contained the name and phone number of someone he thought could connect him with the owner of the bag. He called, low and behold, it was the owner of the bag who picked the call. He too had been worried because all the documents of his company were in that bag. Both of them connected with each other. They first discovered that both bags looked so much alike. They embraced each other and started talking. It was later that the man, going for interview, discovered that he was talking with the personal secretary of his would-be employer; whose bag was mistakenly given to him. He eventually got the job because the personal secretary recommended him.

5. From mockery to miracle.

☆☆☆ This is the main topic for today. The one who had been reproached and rejected can become a sought after.
☆☆☆ When God wants to lift up somebody from ridicule to honour, God can create a problem where he had been ridiculed and rejected and God will now give him the solution to that problem.
☆☆☆ That was the experience of Jephthah in Judges 11:1-11. He was rejected and denied a share of their father’s property by his siblings. The enemies came to take over the property. It was then his siblings remembered that Jephthah was a man of valour. They went on their knees begging him to become the head of the family.

☆☆☆ God can suddenly put someone who had been ridiculed and insulted in a place of honour.
☆☆☆ God can change his story for good and repackages his life, such that those who once ridiculed him may suddenly discover that he has become their benefactor.

☆☆☆ I read the story of a young man who was living in a rented apartment as a tenant. He was going out to work one day, the landlord was chewing chewing stick on the first floor. He didn’t know that this young man was stepping out and he suddenly discharged all that was in his mouth upon the young man. The young man looked up and respectfully drew the attention of the landlord to what he had just done. Instead of the landlord to plead with him that it was a mistake, rather he said to him: if you are tired of living in my house, go and build yours. The young man didn’t say a word but cried silently to God, in prayers, for God to change his story. He later started his own business and left that house. Years after, he saw an advert of a house about to be sold and he bought it. It turned out to be the same house where he was ridiculed and insulted. The interesting aspect of the whole story was that the landlord was yet to pack out when this new owner took over the ownership of the house.

☆☆☆ Our God is a God of wonders without number. For the bible says:

“Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number” – Job 9:10.

☆☆☆ God will surely step into your situation today and turn your mockery to miracle.
