₦20 MILLION FESTIVAL SCOUTING FOOTBALL COMPETITION : EGBEMA COMMUNITIES HAIL HON. UJU KINGSLEY CHIMA (MFR).
It is no longer news that Hon. Uju Kingsley Chima (popularly known as Omeudo) has remained committed to empowering his people and bringing visible development to his constituency.
From his solar light installations aimed at curbing insecurity across Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta, and Oru West Federal Constituency, to his latest initiative ,a ₦20 million football competition , Omeudo continues to make remarkable impact.
According to the 13 Egbema Youth Presidents present at the distribution of football materials to various communities, the program goes beyond being a mere tournament. They described it as a scouting initiative, giving talented players the opportunity to be discovered by professional football clubs. National club agents, already on ground for the kickoff, will be supervising and selecting outstanding players.
The tournament is being managed by Mr. Odinga Odinga, a renowned coach with real Madrid Academy, one-time captain in Shark FC and chairman all club captain in Nigeria.
Speaking at the event, the Council Chairman of all Egbema Community Youth Presidents, Alimezia Ike, commended Hon. Uju Kingsley Chima for his innovative programs and called on other political leaders to emulate his progressive footsteps. He emphasized that when youths are meaningfully engaged, crime rates naturally decline.
As part of the empowerment gesture, Hon. Chima also donated a trophy 🏆 to every village in Egbema, aligning with their festival schedules. On 25th August 2025, football kits and equipment were distributed in double folds to each community, including two sets of jerseys, two leather balls, goalpost nets, and officiating materials.
Delivering Hon. Chima’s goodwill message, Hon. Heculus Okoro advised the youths to maintain peace and order throughout the competition, noting that the best talents may earn opportunities to play at national or international levels. He encouraged participants to emulate their brother, Stanley Bobby Nwabali, who has made Egbema proud on the world stage.
